Derbyshire has secured New Zealand fast bowler Blair Tickner for the beginning of their 2024 season.
Tickner, 30, boasts 202 career wickets in first-class cricket and debuted in international Test cricket against England in 2023.
He will be accessible for nine of Derbyshire’s County Championship matches and eight T20 Blast fixtures.
Expressing his enthusiasm, Tickner stated, “I’m thrilled to be joining county cricket for the first time. I’ve heard nothing but praise for the club from everyone I’ve spoken to in New Zealand.”
Tickner will conclude his final four first-class games with current club Central Districts in the Plunket Shield before transitioning to the county side.
